WASZP FOILING CLINICS

Waszp Foiling Clinics

Prerequisite: CANSail 3
Minimum weight: ~100 lbs — Multiple rig sizes available

These 1–2 day Foiling / WASZP Clinics introduce sailors to one of the most exciting developments in modern sailing: hydrofoiling. The WASZP is a high‑performance, single‑handed foiling dinghy designed to “fly” above the water on hydrofoils, dramatically reducing drag and allowing the boat to reach impressive speeds with remarkable responsiveness. Despite its performance potential, the WASZP is intentionally built to be accessible for developing sailors, with adjustable rig sizes and a stable platform that supports safe learning.

Under the guidance of a certified WeCANFoil athlete coach, sailors learn the fundamentals of foiling technique, including safe take‑off and landing, balance and trim, steering and sheeting while on the foil, and how to manage speed and stability. Clinics also cover essential safety practices, equipment setup, and how different rig sizes can be matched to sailor weight and experience.

These clinics are designed for confident, athletic sailors looking to expand their skills into high‑performance sailing. With individualized coaching and controlled on‑water progression, participants build comfort, confidence, and safe habits while experiencing the thrill of flight.

Clinics run on weekends and may be offered multiple times throughout the season.

Space is limited due to equipment availability. Clinic dates to be announced!

The Waszp program is proudly delivered in partnership with Sail Nova Scotia, thanks to the generous support of Red Sky at Night funding.
